Q3 25' Update: How Long People Are Waiting Between Sessions

We’ve been collecting submissions from people currently going through laser tattoo removal - here’s a quick look at how much time they’re giving their skin to heal between sessions:

🟢 50% of submissions are spacing their sessions out 8 - 12 weeks or more

🟡 34% of submissions are spacing their sessions out 6 - 8 weeks

🔴 16% of submissions are going under 6 weeks

What stands out:

A large portion of users are choosing to wait 8+ weeks between sessions. This may reflect clinic guidance, personal healing preferences, or budget timing… but it’s clear that shorter intervals (under 6 weeks) are much less common among active patients.

And FWIW:

• The average cost per session landed between $250 - $400, with smaller tattoos reported closer to $100 - $250.

• The most common lasers mentioned were PicoWay, Q-Switched, and PicoSure. All nearly tied in frequency.

• The most common tattoo type: black ink, medium-to-large size (palm to tablet-sized), and mostly located on the arm.

  
  

Takeaway:

Most people who are taking a more measured approach to removal… waiting at least 6–8 weeks between treatments, and often longer. That pacing seems to be the norm.

And while this isn’t coming from a huge sample size (yet), we still thought it might help others get a sense of what’s normal (or not) when planning their own sessions. We’ll continue publishing updated data every quarter as more submissions come in.
